David Yates to Direct Doctor Who Film?
After a brief and unintended hiatus, we're back to reporting all of the latest Harry Potter news!
Although this should only be taken as a rumour for now, it has been reported that David Yates, the director of the final four Harry Potter films, from Order of the Phoenix to Deathly Hallows Part 2, may be attached to a film version of the popular BBC series, Doctor Who. There have been several Doctor Who films in the past, but if this news is to believed, this is certainly exciting for Doctor Who and Harry Potter fans.

Pottermore Update
On the 27th September 2011, one million emails had officially been sent out to all of the beta testers for Pottermore, as was revealed on the Pottermore Insider blog. There won't be long to wait now for the fans who didn't succeed in the Magical Quill challenge back in August. As the beta period has been extended, those who are not already in Pottermore will have the opportunity to join at the end of October. However, like the beta testers, their welcome emails will be staggered and sent out in batches, so it could still be weeks or months until the new Pottermore users can experience the site for the first time. As a beta tester, I'm going to say that Pottermore is well worth the wait, especially with the improvements the Insider has promised!

Box Office Update - DH Part 2
It's been difficult to keep up with all of the records that the latest Potter film has been breaking over the last couple of weeks, but here is a box office update to see how Deathly Hallows Part 2 is doing after about three weeks in cinemas:
According to Box Office Mojo, the release of the final film has led to Harry Potter becoming the top all-time highest grossing franchise, having the highest box office total after an opening weekend and being the fastest film to make $150 million. According to various fan sites and other sources, the final film has now made over $1 billion, which is phenomenal! Now everyone's looking to Deathly Hallows Part 2 to become the top-grossing film of all time. And, of course, an Oscar or two wouldn't hurt either.
