The book is usually £25, so this is a great offer for an even more fantastic book! Hufflepuff Win HPA House Cup Stage

Well done to all Hufflepuff members of the Harry Potter Alliance's Dumbledore's Army, as they won the latest stage of the House Cup after the recent Illiteracy Horcrux campaign. Hufflepuff's current head of house is John Green, one of the vlogbrothers and a popular Young Adult novelist. The Harry Potter Alliance's 'Accio Books' was a book drive aimed to reduce illiteracy for their most recent Horcrux, as part of their Deathly Hallows campaign. Members of Dumbledore's Army donated 32,011 books this year, which is the third year that the book drive has been held. For every book that was donated, members received points to help their house in the House Cup. This is just one stage in the HPA's House Cup, and the overall winner will be announced at LeakyCon 2011. Hufflepuff came first with 118,100 points, Gryffindor came second with 96,058 points, in third place was Ravenclaw with 72,158 points and finally, Slytherin finished in fourth place with 16,910 points. The next Horcrux in the Deathly Hallows campaign is the Child Slavery Horcrux. If you are interested in becoming a member of Dumbledore's Army as part of the Potter-themed charity, the HPA, you should have a look at how you could get involved.

HPN² has yet another new section for you on the site! The 'on this day' feature will be updated from time to time with old news stories on the same date several years ago. On this day nine years ago for example, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone was released on DVD and VHS! We'll be adding even more features to the site in the coming months.

                              Leaky's Riddles

Popular wizarding website The Leaky Cauldron has announced a new competition on their website, with two different ways of winning. Full details are of course, found on their website, but it seems like an excellent idea as well as a great prize, so I thought I would share it with you on HPN². The first part of the competition is to write a riddle about something in the Harry Potter series, like a character or object. The second part involves the ten best riddles being posted online, allowing others to attempt to answer all ten. All winners (of the riddle-writing and answering) are going to be entered into Leaky's draw for a wand! It sounds like an exciting idea, and I'm interested to see the winning riddles. If this has captured your interest, I suggest you make your way to The Leaky Cauldron to find out more!

I wanna be a Starship Ranger!

Team Starkid's fourth original musical, Starship, has now been released! Team Starkid are the creators of A Very Potter Musical and Sequel, if you were wondering what exactly this news story has to do with Harry Potter. We'll admit there's a loose link, but there are a couple of great references to their previous musical, and it's just too good to miss! Starship premiered in February when Team Starkid performed the musical live, and after filming it during a performance, they have uploaded it to YouTube for everyone to see. It was released at 3am UK time on the 1st May 2011, and the first part has already had over 150,000 views. With a soundtrack written by Darren Criss of AVPM/S (Harry) and Glee (Blaine), and performances from Starkid favourites like Joey Richter, Lauren Lopez, Joe Walker, Joe Moses, Jim Povolo, Nick Lang, Brian Holden, Jaime Lyn Beatty, Julia Albain and Dylan Saunders, as well as some new faces, Starship is an amazing musical.
